In what’s expected to be his final competitive race, and Australian Warlord’s final day of competitive racing, Finn McCracken has done it again, he has won the World Championships ITT.
Before the race started there had been huge expectations, not specifically for Finn, but of the entire Australian & New Zealand contingent of cyclists, with multiple favourites in top form, and even the prospect of a clean sweep Aussie-Kiwi podium from the near ten Aussie-Kiwi cyclists in serious contention. In the end there was no clean sweep with other Aussie-Kiwi favourites suffering bad fortunes, however Finn was able to put the Kiwi flag on the top step for a second time.
At age 33, Finn has been expecting to effectively retire with the Australian Warlord team suspending active operations; however AW’s manager has talked with Finn about the prospect of defending his title in another team before returning to the infamous outfit for retirement.
But regardless of what happens, with two wins from two TT WC attempts, Finn’s name will stay in lights for all of OCM history.

Good to know.
I'm stopping competitive racing at this point in time. What happens next is uncertain. If I stay, I might seek the Aussie National Team manager's position.
And no, he's not going to go for the TT hour record, my understanding of it is he needs better flat skills.
Bloody brilliant. Not gonna have a pop at the hour record?
And am I reading that right? you're stopping???
